A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

IMPORTANT: Controller REQUIRED for this game.

The zombies are back. And this time, it's different.
(Note: Zombies are actually friendly to the player, who is a zombie. This was realized later in development)

How to Play
You are a zombie. Run up to humans, and bite them to regain strength (you must be touching them to bite them). Your health is shown in green. You will die after 5 seconds if you do not eat brains. Your zombie friends are the same. More health = more  S P E E D. You can also sprint, your energy is shown in blue (advised: sprint in short burts. Depleting energy to 0 will stop its regeneration momentarily). Your score is how many zombies are alive after all humans have perished. Score is measured in zoms (new SI measurement after zombles was found to be too silly).

Controls (xbox/ps)
Left analog stick: Movement
a/cross: Bite human
x/square:
Sprint (hold)
RB/R1: Debug mode, baby! Doesn't give you godmode or anything, just looks real cool.

Development notes

Team Members:
Code  (Java): Ronan Hanley
Artwork: Sam Fitzgerald
Sound effects: Zhonna Davis

Notes regarding development:
- Cabin sprite was copied from somewhere and tweaked
- Controller detection on game start was added after the competition (without this the game would just crash if no controller was plugged in yet)
- Willhelm scream obviously not created by our team

Double clickable jar (game not working for all setups) 9 MB

Install instructions

Game may not work for all setups. I didn't think working with controllers in Slick2D would be so awkward...

Java must be installed. Game should be double clickable to run. If not, it can be ran from the commandline with the command "java -jar Zombie3RevengeoftheKillerZombiesPart7UnlimitedEditionHereWeGoAgainThisTimeUndertheSea.jar" (no quotes)

Playing as a zombie was a lot of fun. It has really taken the series in a new direction, again.

I especially enjoyed the video friction of the zombie bite. As a player, I felt the thrill of sinking your zombie maw into fresh human in tasteful satisfying audio visual feedback.

And to think, the creators made this after being exposed to that same zombie virus, having only 2 days to create it! Congratulations.
